I get the impression that this thread is a thinly-veiled attack on tambora. So be it.
I'm harsh in some of my reviews, I admit it. I didn't watch Joseph Stalin as a joke, since I'd reviewed dozens of other Fester House films already, and I also reedited (or is it re-edited? We may never know...) that complete destruction film just as an example. If I really did hate the guys over at Fester House, I wouldn't spend so much time on their stuff.
Sometimes I may go overboard, but as those who have recieved five-star reviews from me know, I am sometimes overgenerous in my praise. Things are rarely as fantastic or deplorable as I say they are, but that's just how I write. Sorry.
As to the nomenclature I use in my reviews: I actually talk that way, especially when I'm speaking about a subject I love, like film. To deride it as "idiotic, nonsensical tripe" is to fall prey to the same bombastic tone you are decrying. If you used those words in particular to sound ironic, I laud you on a good, if somewhat obtuse, joke.
As often as I can, I encourage filmmakers to keep making films, no matter what I may think of a particular work. I don't want to discourage anyone from their artistic endeavors; on the contrary, I review films for two main reasons:
1. So that potential viewers will have a better idea as to the content and quality, especially if they have limited download ability.
2. So that filmmakers can get some of the feedback they crave, because way too many of the films hosted on the archive, some of mine included, do not have reviews.
But if my reviews are still inappropriate, I would be willing to confine my comments to following, if it will satisfy you:
THIS MOVIE WAS THE BEST EVAR i CAN"T WAIT 2 C MORE LIKE IT IT,S THE COOLEST lol ;) g2g SIX STARS
